Great Navigators

A new year has begun and more than 300 men and women have listened to the call of the Goddess Ixchel, to receive her instructions.

The Sacred Mayan Journey is a millenary tradition, that involves a ritual journey made by the ancient Mayans to pay tribute to Ixchel, Goddess of the moon, fertility, and pregnancy.

The ancient Messengers used to follow a route from Polé (currently Xcaret), to the Goddess Sanctuary in Cozumel, with offerings to thank her for the blessings received during the year.

Once again, as it has been done during centuries, Ixchel as Moon Deity, guides and watches over her Messengers in a renovation journey.
